The Canada Elections Act sets annual limits for political donations, described on the Elections Canada web site. The current limit for individuals is $1100 to any single party, affiliated associations and candidate (for a possible total of $3300.00).

Non-refundable tax credits for federal political donations are the concern of the Canada Revenue Agency. Their web site has the details.

• a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada.
• at least 18 years of age.
• and that with this donation you will not exceed your annual limit.
