Cypriot Federation of Canada supports Standing Committee

Dear Mr. Telegdi:

The Cypriot Federation of Canada is a national organization representing all the Cypriot Communities of Canada and all Cypriots living in Canada.

On behalf of our organization, we fully endorse the recent report from The Standing Committee of Citizenship and Immigration, entitled: Citizenship Revocation: A Question of Due Process and Respecting Charter of Rights. We feel the report provides fair measures to protect the rights of Canadian Citizens who may require a due process in being able to appeal their citizenship revocation and thereby respecting the Charter of Rights. We feel that the current government policy does not provide the due process and the Charter of Rights for Canadians who fall into this class are not respected.
